The club run multiple weekly Americano tournaments which anyone can get involved with.

These are prearranged on the Whatsapp group in advance of the day and are £4.50 per person (£4 in afternoons).

They last for 1 hour and there will be 5 rounds lasting approx 10 minutes. Each person plays one round with each of the other 4 players..

Rules:

First couple to serve is based on racket spin then 24 points are played in a Tie Break format i.e. first server serves just once to the left and thereafter the players take it in turn to serve twice, the first serve being to the right.

The server should call the score before each point.

After 12 points are played - you switch ends. Once 24 points have been played, the round is over and the score is then recorded.

The individual with the most points overall wins.

Troubleshooting:

If somebody is running late, start with the round that doesn't involve them.

If you don't have time to complete all the rounds and another booking is due on straight after, make points count double towards the end!

Americanos should not run over when there is a booking immediately afterwards.
