Box Leagues

We run box leagues which are only open to members and feature prizes for the winners along with competitive padel games and are free to enter!
These have proven very popular with 35+ couples involved.
Contact our padel convenor if you are interested in entering as a couple or as an individual.
Cycle 7 (in progress - ends 13th April)
Box league rules:
Each match will be the best of 3 sets*(see below).
- ‘Sudden-death’ deuce to be played at 40-40.
- Winning team receives 3 points, losing teams receives 1.
- In event of a draw on points, final standings will be determined by head-head score. If one or more teams level, on set then game percentage.
- Agree in setting up match who booking court and who providing balls.
- There will be promotions and relegations at the end of the Round - this will generally aim to be one-up, one-down as before, however we reserve the right to increase that if limited matches are played.
- A Walkover result will only be awarded when a match has been scheduled, the court booked and one team does not turn up or pulls out within the 24-hour cancellation period. Any queries on potential Walkovers should be submitted to this e-mail address.
- If a team knows they will not be able to fulfil their matches due to injury or known unavailability please advise me as soon as possible.
- Matches to be played at Craigmillar Park only.
*Final Set - based on previous feedback about matches that could not be finished in the court booking time, If time is running out we would suggest teams agreeing either:
- play a short set to 4 games (but be aware it will be posted as a normal up to 6 set – LTA site restrictions - so a 4-2 would become 6-4; 4-1 become 6-3 etc)
- play 3rd set as a tie-break to 10 points – it will show as 7-6 final set.
- re-scheduling the final set.
Either way in order for the match to be included it must be finished.
